My known secrets to the Fountain of Youth
- Eat 75 percent water soluble foods daily (fresh fruits and vegetables) preferably organic
- Drink eight 8-ounce glasses of purified or ionized water daily.
- Bake, broil or steam your food and remove the skin from poultry and fish before eating it.
- Stop eating when you're satisfied, never over eat.
- Eat fruit in the morning, with a little yogurt, (helps to normalize the intestinal tract, better digestion) If you need some protein, enjoy a steaming bowl of oatmeal, your way, cinnamon, raisins, soy milk, sweeten with just a touch of honey. Oat groats are the best or try steel cut oats.
- Start eating your vegetables at noon: Chicken, fish, turkey salad, or Sandwich on a whole grain, or sprouted bread, or wrap. Eat protein only with vegetables.
- Snack on raw vegetables in the afternoon, or a high protein bar, low sugar and carbs.
- Enjoy a dinner of salad, fish, chicken, or turkey, and steamed vegetables, whole grain pasta, low fat sauce, baked potato (yams are best with a little Smart Balance, and cinnamon, top with yogurt instead of sour cream, vegetable soup, preferably home made, and whole grain crackers.
- Enjoy an early evening snack of non-fat frozen yogurt. The calcium before bedtime is a good food choice because it replaces some of the calcium that is being used up during sleep.
- As you continue to cut down on processed foods, fat, sugar and white flour and as you continue to exercise, fat will turn to muscle and your body will naturally find the beautiful shape it was meant to be.
Here are some foods that you will enjoy that help to flush fat: cider vinegar, cranberries lemons, water, broccoli, cabbage, cucumber, all types of lettuce, berries, zucchini
